What We Do

Ohio Connection members sit on various committees and boards at the state and national level that makes decisions that directly influence our businesses.

Ohio Connection is the voice for providers in our state.  We take your questions and concerns to the appropriate personnel or office at the state and national level. 

 

What's New?

  • AFSCME Council 8 received the required votes to form a union in Ohio.
  • The recent NACCRRA report ranked Family Child Care in Ohio as 52nd in the nation.  NACCRRA ranked providers from all 50 states, Department of Defense providers and the District of Columbia providers.  Out of 140 available points, Ohio received 0 points.  To view the full report, visit the NACCRRA.org website.
  • This report helps to reinforce the importance of the licensing bill that was recently introduced.
  • Secretary and Vice-President positions are up for re-election.  Please see the "About Us" page for further information.
  • There were two bills introduced to require licensing for Type B homes.  One bill was introduced in the House by Rep. Peterson and the other bill in the Sentate was introduced by Sen. Stivers.
  • Senate Bill 210 introduced in the Senate by Senator Mason has passed.  This bill will require providers to have $300,000 of daycare liability insurance, a $300,000 security bond, or they must have the parents to sign a disclosure stating they are aware that they are placing their child/children in a home without liability insurance.
